Artificial Intelligence a resource, not a substitute

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) is moving so fast that those who blink will find themselves paddling hard to catch up with the train. The Christian world has not been spared–––research a Bible verse and AI will be right there with its interpretations and opinions–––very convenient, or is it?

Should AI have so much influence over all things Christian or should it be a resource for believers–––a quick reference resource, used cautiously? Believers–––followers of Jesus Christ–––are living, breathing souls that have His permission to use His Name to communicate directly with God, our Heavenly Father.

What helps a believer mature in Christ? Studying and meditating on the Bible, God’s Word and obeying and serving God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Christian life of meditation includes:

  1. Studying the Bible, God’s Word

  2. Worshiping God in our own words, or singing and making music to Him–––can AI truly worship God?

  3. Listening to what God is revealing through His Word

  4. Praying

  5. Acting on what God revealed through that quiet time of meditation.

The things of God are spiritually discerned. If you are a believer, it is good to remember that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to teach us, mentor us and help us understand the mind of our Heavenly Father better. AI cannot substitute for the role of the Holy Spirit and hence God, in a believer’s life (1 Corinthians 2:6-16). Therefore, user beware!
